About
Empowering Workwear was founded by Dr. Lydia Kostopoulos who conceived it as a result of frustration with the lack of functionality in workwear as well as clothes that fit just right.

This prompted a journey of discovery as she delved into the international world of textile supply chains. With a commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and an interest in making fashion with narrative, her storytelling ideas and designs were born.
The first debut product is "The Fortune 500 Shirt" which features the female and male symbols inside the organic cotton weave in the proportion to the male/female ratio in the Fortune 500 CEO list. The buttons reflect the gender pay gap and the cufflinks are an artistic rendition of the breaking of the glass ceiling.
